How our MCS-certified installation partner network works

Who actually installs your system, what MCS certification means, and how we manage quality from survey to handover.

28 August 2026

A fair question we hear often: who actually installs the equipment? Solar Renewables & Importations Ltd designs, specifies and manages your project, and the installation work is delivered by our network of MCS-certified installation partners. Solar Renewables & Importations Ltd does not itself hold MCS certification.\n\nMCS — the Microgeneration Certification Scheme — is the industry quality standard for small-scale renewable installations in the UK. Certification matters because it underpins consumer protection and is typically required for schemes such as the Smart Export Guarantee, which pays you for electricity you export, subject to supplier terms and eligibility.\n\nOur role is to be your single point of accountability. We carry out the assessment and system design, match the project to a suitable certified partner, agree the specification, and stay involved through installation, commissioning and handover paperwork — including the MCS certificate itself where applicable.\n\nIf you would like to understand how this would work for your property, book a free, no-obligation meeting with the team.
